GoldPan™ is designed for small and large projects ranging from a few tasks to thousands of tasks. GoldPan allows you to develop alternative plans for risky projects and organize scenarios for analyzing risks and estimating methods. Sensitivity Analysis allows you to probe scenarios for parameters that have a major impact on the overall cost of your project.
GoldPan imports plans and schedules from Microsoft Project (Project 98/2000).
In GoldPan you can characterize impacts to the plan and then export risk adjusted plans back into Microsoft Project for implementation.
GoldPan works with "What Ifs" that characterize impacts to your system, process or plan. A What If is something that can happen or an error in judgment that can materialize as the
Process goes along. In the current version, you define What Ifs in the form of risks or estimating methods. In a future version of GoldPan, you will be able to define What Ifs in the form of decision points that have a probability of occurrence and choices that can change the course of the project or process. You can define as many What Ifs, and time them with your project or process, as
You want. Then GoldPan will integrate the impacts to your project or process and generate an adjusted schedule and plan. For those of you that need confidence intervals and percentiles you can use the GoldPan Simulation to produce Cashflow and Duration reports for specific Tasks and/or Aggregates.
